Description

In this workshop we'll learn how to grow micro-greens and pea shoots, which grow best inside, can be harvested every 2-3 weeks and are delicious in salads and stir-fries. We will learn how to extend the growing season and have fresh produce from home even in the middle of winter. Seeds, soil and small pots provided: You'll plant a seed and be able to take it home.

Sarah Halvorson-Fried has home gardening and small-scale commercial organic farming experience. She recently graduated from Macalester College and currently works for Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture and the University of Minnesota's Organic Farm.
