Description

Cost is $30 each school, $55 if you register for both. Must be a current MSHS member to participate. Deadline to register is September 24. No prerequisites. Seating is limited.

      Judging and Exhibiting Workshop

Panel Judging

Point scoring of the horticultural and creative design entries participants have brought.

A review and discussion of judging ethics.

Any new classes in design and new introductions in horticulture.

Specialty flowers and their scoring.

Discussing problems judges have encountered when judging.

Instructors: Ardith Beveridge and Chuck Levine. Ardith is the director and an instructor at the Institute of Floristry at Koehler and Dramm. She teaches internationally and is the author of several books. Chuck is a teacher of urban agriculture in the Anoka Hennepin School District. He is a horticulturist with over 25 years experience in public and private vocational education.

A box lunch from Byerly's will be available for $12. A copy of the Judging and Exhibiting Handbook can be purchased for $13. To order lunch and/or the book, call the MSHS office at 651-643-3601.
