A rock or alpine garden features extensive use of stones along with plants native to rocky or alpine environments. The rugged rocks complement the delicacy of the flowers. In this presentation, Shirley will give you specifics on plant requirements, soil composition, garden locations, construction and plant positioning. She will include information on which rock garden/alpine plants grow in Minnesota.
Instructor: Shirley Friberg is a member of NARGS, Scottish Rock Garden Club, Alpine Garden Society, MN Chapter of NARGS. Shirley has built two rock gardens and starts alpines from seed.
