Location: MSHS classroom
Everything you need to know to begin your own composting system at home. Find out how you can turn your kitchen food scraps and yard waste into a humus that will help your plants grow and reduce the need for fertilizers, water and pesticides. Ask questions of an expert and share your experiences with other composters.
Instructor Ginny Black works for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency as its organics recycling specialist. She assists the private, public and non-profit sectors in reusing and recycling food residuals and non-recyclable paper. She also works with compost facilities to develop markets for high quality compost. She has served as a Board member of the US Composting Council board of directors since 1995.
