Anoka County Extension 2010 Plant & Insect Diagnostic Clinics

Anoka County Extension Master Gardeners offer free plant and insect diagnostic clinics to help homeowners identify plants and diagnose common insect and disease problems. For plant samples, bring a portion about 8 to 10 inches long and include leaves, flowers and fruit as available. For insects, put them in a screw top jar or sealed plastic container. For turf, bring a 6 to 8 inch section of lawn showing the overlap of healthy and diseased material. Free; bring up to three samples. This in depth introductory course will teach you to identify mushrooms, explore mushroom biology and learn the important role of mushrooms in the environment. There will be two Saturday field expeditions and 4 classroom sessions. Location is at the nature center, while field trips may take place at the Maplewood Preserves – to be announced in class.
